Thanksgiving is around the corner.... So you know what that means PIES! I use to be terrified of making homemade pies, especially making the crust. There were so many ways for the crust to go wrong and it always seemed so complicated. Then one day my friend was raving about her pie crust and that it was so simple, that ANYONE could make this pie crust and it would turn out beautifully. She caught my attention and knew I had to have her teach me! We got a couple girls together and she taught us how to make homemade from scratch apple pie. I was hoping for a different kind of pie cause apple is not my favorite. Then I took a bite of one of my mini apple pies and died! It was the best apple pie I have ever had and the crust... the crust turned out! It was easy to make, flaky, melt in your mouth and easy to repair if it broke while transferring to the pan. Since this little pie crust class I have literally made this pie crust about 15 times. NO JOKE. I have use it for tarts, chicken pot pies.... it is a fool proof recipe.
